We control our supply chain process from ‘field to market’ this means we’re able to sell our product within hours from harvest!
Our crop is grown on rich sandy loam soil with good structure and high in organic matter. We believe our soil helps us to grow some of New Zealand’s finest quality, and best tasting Asparagus.
Asparagus season is September – December and we harvest daily just as the spears emerge, sometimes during the peak season we harvest twice a day. We only pick the finest spears that range from 20-25 cm in length with a tight head and of good colour.
Then within hours from field, our asparagus is washed, trimmed, graded, packed and cool stored all ready for delivery to our customers. We also have facilities to freeze our Asparagus, this process also happens within hours from the field, freezing in the nutrients and goodness.
